Staying at the lodge was a delightful experience overall. The rooms were clean but outdated, in need of renovation. On the bright side, they have been updated, and now look really nice with a large flat screen TV and a view of the beautiful lake with a level trail. The service was fantastic, particularly Mariah, our waitress, who managed a large group effortlessly. The location, nestled between Sharp Top and Flat Top Mountains, was picturesque and serene. Dining was satisfactory, although the menu was a bit repetitive. The facilities were decent, but some areas could use improvement.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were cozy and offered a lovely view of the lake and Otter Peak, although being on the first level made me feel close to nature. The price was affordable, making it great value for money.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms had an amazing view over the pond, were comfortable, and offered great views of the lake and mountain. The only downside was that they were out of regular coffee for the rooms by the time we arrived.

The staff was very nice and helpful. They even rolled our toilet paper into a rose and our Kleenex into a bow, which you don't see everywhere. They went above and beyond to make our stay special.

The location of the hotel is what makes it unique. Just off of the Blue Ridge Parkway west of the town of Bedford, it's a perfect spot for a nightcap or a 'leg stretch' on car trips. The only issue we encountered was with the duty manager, who seemed unaware of the situation we were facing.
Dining

During our stay, we dined at the General Store and Natties cafe in Natural bridge, 15 minutes away. The service was good, but we were completely ignored for several minutes, which was a bit disappointing.
Facilities

The facilities at the hotel were nice, but they would be closed by the time we arrived, so we didn't get to enjoy them fully.

The hotel boasts many historic 1960s mountain lodge touches, starting at the door. The rooms, although clean with nice amenities, might be considered inferior after a sloppy renovation. The hotel makes no concessions to fashion and fads.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms felt a bit tired, but I enjoyed the airy vaulted ceilings on the second floor. The service was good overall, especially considering all the demands the staff had to meet. The location was pretty basic, but I loved the live mountain music by the fireplace. The dining experience could have been better, although the main lodge was nicely appointed. The facilities were decent but nothing extraordinary.
